A REQUEST

You see a clock on this page, and in my Blunt Knife blog. The dial is jet black. If it is grey, your screen is too bright. Not good for your eyes and the life of the monitor would be short.
Please adjust your monitor with the help of this site

  2. Rauf, I have to disagree with this.

I went through the test & my moniter's brightness is fine. My moniter is not too bright, it's just right. But, your clock is a medium grey to me. If I turn my brightness all the way down, then your clock dial is black, but the grey borders around photos & the grey border around the top of people's blog title, etc. goes away. And, for instance, the photo now on my blog-all the detail of the bed & sunbeams go away so only the window light appears. This can't be the right brightness for my moniter because I know there is a bedspread in my photo, but if I turn my brightness all the way down like you suggest, it's like those parts of my photo don't even exist & I know they do. I doubt the clock dial was meant to be completely black. Many things could become completely black if you turned down the brightness, but that doesn't mean they're supposed to be that dark.

  3. rauf, i agree with patty ... the clock dial is not jet black, but dark grey on my monitor. i brought down my brightness a bit, its so much more pleasant, the dial is still dark grey ... the site that you mentioned proves right at many different levels of brit/cont, theres a big range of rightiousness. long live our cathode ray tubes ...

  7. Rauf, you can tell me what to do. I may not do what you say, but you can still tell me. Hope you're not mad because I disagree. I do hate to think that you have to turn your brightness up to see the photos on my site.

It's only my opinion. My moniter is not too bright nor too dark. I see things just fine. I do think you should turn your brightness up a bit to where you can see the details in the dark photos on my site-I think that's the right brightness for your moniter. Mabey you are just sensitive to certain levels of brightness? Or used to it this way, so it may seem too bright for you, when really it's the normal brightness you should be viewing things in?

I believe if your clock dial was meant to be jet black, then, no matter how much people turned their brightness up to, the dial would still be jet black. The reason it's grey is because the grey was meant to be seen. Your background for your sites is jet black & stays jet black even when I turn the brightness on my moniter all the up. It was meant to be jet black-unlike the clock dial, which turns medium grey.

Just my opinion. Do what u like, Rauf. I'm sorry you have to turn your brightness up on my site to see certain photos.

    Smiles & hugs!
    Take care, Rauf.
