ReplyDeleteWoke her up this morning Aamir, as usual woke up late. Spoke to her for long with the calling card she bought installed on my system before she left. She was sleepy and said I was the first one to call her. We did not fight.

Early in the morning I am dumbstruck Claudia. I am smiling and smiling and smiling. Arshi Will kick me if she comes to know of this, she knows that I am almost as blind a bat. I am always under her constant shower of criticism, she is my mother. I can't see a wall sometimes. I sincerely apologise for having missed your question and a bigger crime I missed your birthday. Now I don't even remember in which post I have written that some one very close to my heart is leaving for England.
ReplyDeleteYou have such a photographic memory Claudia, Arshi is very bright and intelligent too and her memory is exceptional, she keeps taking digs at my absentmindedness. Keeps firing instructions like a mother while I am traveling.
Yes its wonderful to have such friends. That is my wealth, though my pockets are always empty.

I am relieved. A huge sigh of relief. You may not know Claudia you are my teacher. When I started blogging, seems like century ago, I did not know what to write and knew nothing about the format. I used to learn a great deal from your blog.

ReplyDeleteNo its not a painting, its mostly system work. Veil is a seperate layer. I give brush strokes then I erase some portion say 25% pressure, make it look semi transparent by increasing layer transparency. I keep doing it and some times I don't know where to stop.
Boo has been very patient with me. she helped me with the transition to digital. My first digital portraits were very harsh even with soft lighting.
I kept trying and trying until I got soft tones. softer shadows. sweet Boo was always there for me.
You are such an idiot, Poms ! you made my eyes well up.. you always do that, with your love.. Thanks a zillion for the lovely birthday wishes - made my week; but i'm grinning like an idiot now. How i wish i could be there with you, like the last 2 birthdays *sigh* but we are always together in heart and soul :) *hugs and kisses*
