MISSING

Been pretty depressed from past few days, The computer was not the only reason, It was almost completely damaged due to power fluctuation which reached even the keyboard. Hard Disk is partially damaged and I could retreive the data and my pictures were not lost. The system was fixed almost immediately, almost new now, Thanks to my friends. Chinna had already given me a 17 inch flat monitor, Karthik, Magesh, Mani Sreeni lost no time in getting the system back in operation. Very sweet of them.
Thank you for all your concern, I'll reply to all your mail in a couple of days.

I normally don't get depressed at loss or damage of things,
Ginger my affectioante cat is missing from past 5 days. I am upset and worried

He has been acting pretty wierd lately, ever since his younger brother was born under my bed, I have not named this kitten yet.
Actually I did not shift my attention from ginger, but he was not very friendly with the new born. They almost look alike, same colour and pattern.

Its not very difficult to deal with death. I don't know if he died on the road or some one picked him up, which is highly unlikely as he is pretty fast and smart. Missing is more painful than death. I just keep thinking and thinking. I realise now how parents feel when their children go missing under unfortunate circumstances. They too can deal with death. Children missing is ever so painful.

Now this young chap has taken his place, walks about my table creating a havoc.

Don't know if ginger is hurt, everybody in my neighbourhood is looking for him and come and give me the report. Don't know if he is jealous or just hurt.
They have feelings too.

  1. Oh no. Ginger is missing??? I cant forget him playing with my boots, chewing on the lace, nibbling on my jean, jumping in the middle of every picture you were trying to take of us. He was a wild, yet a playful and energetic cat. I hope he comes back soon.

Good to see you back. I missed you.

  3. Rauf,

I'm so sorry you are going through the angst of a missing loved one. She is beautiful. Hopefully, she found a boy cat she wanted to follow around for a few days. I hope she comes home to you.

The little guy is so cute. I love him already.

Wishing you well... and your computer.

  4. It's so good to have you back Rauf.

I'm glad your computer is like new and you have such good friends who helped out.

But I'm very sorry about Ginger. The ache is so terrible, without closure. I hope you don't have long to wait until he comes back to you.

Sweet kitty! Are you going to name him? Or just call him Kitty? What a fantastic face and big green eyes and heart nose.

  8. In law of persons this year we studied missing persons. Worse than death, much worse...the not knowing..

But I'm not making you feel any better! It reminds me of a book I read as a child - quite famous, actually, 'A Wrinkle in Time' - they find the missing person in the end.

I'm sure you will find your cat! He's probably gone for a vacation!

  13. Cats? nah, stuffit rauf. Different strokes different blokes. Imported Feral cats (and dogs, and foxes) have destroyed much and many of the unique and delicate wildlife in Australia. Sorry if I cannot be sympathetic.

  14. Caz is in Cats Protection and we get a lot of calls about missing cats. Most turn up again so don't lose hope. We've got 11 here. Wonder how long it'd take to realise one was missing? Caz 30 seconds, me about 3 days.

  18. Ruth I have to apologise that I have not been able to visit any blog, the system is rebooting itself, and I am not in the right frame of mind, something very unusual for me. I am always cracking.

Only when we lose we realise how we loved the lost one. I took his love for granted. I used to shoo him away when ever he used to nibble and lick my toes. poor chap was expressing his love.

I haven't named the kitten yet Ruth any suggestion ? in a hurry to post this comment before the computer reboots itself

  24. Aiyooo e2dees, that is not the only worry, I think we should have such experiences. I'll be 59 soon and I really regret having no experience at all, been carefree all my life, honestly I had no emotional problems, don't know what they are until recently. Death of parents is a normal course of events, you can't expect people to live for ever and it was not very difficult for me to deal with it. But what I am going through is something different and very painful

  29. My goodness 11 cats ??? Hope mine has not reached you FOUR DINNERS.
Very demanding sometimes. You love them so much !! wow Do they fight with each other ? The mama cat is always here, there are some visiting cats some thugs creating problems and they start fighting mostly in the nights, pretty scary sight.

  30. Hmm, I was listening for a name when I left my comment, but all I could think was how much he looks like a puma (the shape of his face/head).
