Speed is taking the human race towards extinction. Faster we go, faster would be our end. We have to stop at some point before its too late. We are refusing to wake up. Blunt knife Wildpic
Thank you so much for your visit to my site and for leaving such a lovely comment. And what a lovely header for me to open up on your site!
Yes, speed, rushing, schedules...no time to slow down...one wonders what everyone is running away from, or running toward, or trying to avoid. Thank you for the reminder to slow down.
the photo you posted make me dizzy, i can almost feel the speed as i look at the photo. yes i agree we are going way too fast in society.
i guess there really is no superman out there to save us, to save our extinction. what will be will be ...kay sir ra sir ra (song that just popped into my head) kay sir ra sir ra whatever will be will be...the future is not mine to see kay sir ra sir ra...
wow rauf ... what a brilliant pic, the shutter speed was'nt speedy enough inspite of its speed. is the train to be blamed ?
am doin some serious thinking about survival, my heats way, never to cross more than 72 BPM. am seeing too many people die thesedays ... if that makes any sense !
Yes, I wake up at night and my monkey mind goes nuts, in chaos, can't stop it, and I don't even try any more. Just let it be.
I'm hopeful though, because there are people around like you, and this group, Blue Ocean Strategy, that is trying to make competition irrelvant. http://www.blueoceanstrategy.com/
I wonder where we are going so fast Serenity, we seem to have lost all the patience, Your current post also deals with the same subject. What a coincidence. Thank you so much for your visit Serenity.
Trivandrum mail is a super fast train Suresh, and it was four hours late last time I traveled in it. Heart has been beating what ever speed non stop even before you were born Suresh.
By the way you have completely missed my 'eye contact' post.
Kathy, the original Que sera sera was sung by our good old Doris Day
When I was just a little girl I asked my mother What will I be? Will I be pretty? Will I be rich? Here's what she said to me:
Que sera, sera. Whatever will be, will be. The future's not ours to see. Que sera, sera. What will be, will be.
there have been many versions after that, the one I like most was by an Australian Singer Normie Rowe.
Fantasy is not going to help us Kathy, it remains only in our imagination, books or movies. We have to save ourselves. Big business houses want more and more business more money faster and faster. Big weapons makers, defence contractors want wars, conflicts are created, resulting in genocide, bombings killing of the innocents. Speed is related to money Kathy.
I am a glorious flop in my profession Ruth, I never had a portfolio, never held any exhibition, never let people know that I exist. I am struggling still as a result, but with a greater peace of mind. Though this blog some people came to know of my existence. Some say competetion brings out your best, but I feel you can bring out your best without joining the rat race. What you say makes a lot of sense Ruth, making competition irrelevant. It will slow down the pace of growth. People will have time to stop and think, where are we going so fast ?
rauf ... i dint miss the 'eye contact' post, came back to it a few times, tried some research on it and they were all shabby. it was a potent post ... i just avoided key-board contact thats all. i still wonder how u managed to compile all of those pics ... good stuff !
I agree with you Rauf, people today are not wakin up to the problems of this world..I fear for my grandchildren. War is a terriable thing..it hurts the whole world.
Long time Connie ! Welxome home, how you've been ? hope everything is fine.
Yes Connie there's a rush everywhere. Every one wants this world to be a happy place to live and it is not happening. Right now the handful of bad elements are winning, they seem to be so powerful. Please have hope. We'll wake up one fine morning.
Hello Rauf - Lovely blog! Reached here from Cindy's blog comment. Well worth the visit.
A couple of suggestions: 1. Because of the heavy graphics content each page takes long to load. Could your posts just have a thumbnail of each photo and the actual picture can be loaded on click? 2. In addition to the caption and content you could also give details of the equipment and settings used - it'll be useful.
The visitor,Welcome to my page and thank you for all the suggestions.
Since this is primarily a photoblog, pictures are my first priority. Earlier I have been posting thumbnails, and I have been asking my friends if they click on them to view th full screen size. None of them did, only my photogrper friends would click to see full screen view. I have very little knowledge of computers and absolutely no knowledge of the HTML language. One day I thoughtof solving this problem, changed the design tinkered with the template, after many goofs I finally settled for this one. I have reduced th size of the pictures and compressed them for faster download but still it 45 seconds for the full page to appear, I understand it is difficult for those who are using dial up connection. I'll try to change the design and experiment a bit more.
I have dial up connection and it's a slow, slow one at that but I find your pictures well worth the wait. Your picture for today does indeed portray the pace at which we live. I almost always see a young Amish man on his way to work each morning while I'm on my way to work. He's driving sedately along in his buggy, and I fly by in my Chevy. I often kind of envy the pace at which he lives.
Thank you Cindy, i don't have a car, I am not in a hurry to reach anywhere. I take my time. But sometimes I lag behind. And I am left out. Lucky for me that I am in India where things have their own pace. India has diferent paces for tat matter. Cities are faster resulting in greater impatience. I live in a city, but hardly go out.
My dear Friends My computer has problms again. Have to seek help. I am posting this from a browsing centre. I'll respond to your comments and mails once I get my system working Thank you Love you all Rauf
Aha !FOUR DINNERS, I was in school in the sixties, thats when I heard of SPEED, never tried it. It came to India much later and was restricted only to the super rich. Glad I did not have any money to try it.
Yea PC seems to be fine now, the lithium battery in the motherboard drsined completely shutting down the system.
Are we happier than the Cave man Kathy ? He made clubs and we have guns. Human mind may have evolved, resulting in, better communication, knowledge and comforts, but human nature remains the same.
Great food for thought, Poms ! the sad part is, even if you wana stay behind, you get dragged ahead by the flow, or worse, get trampled into oblivion. So the majority is made to rush into the rat race against their will by the few who cause it to happen. Sad thoughts *hugs*
I sit where I am boo, just refusing to get on the race. But I have suffered not being a part of them and get funny lables. ummmmmmmmmmmas and hugs ree piyaari boo.

Blessings, peace, and joy flowing to you!
You have to run twice as fast to stay in the same place. That;s how bad the things are now. Very nice picture.
ReplyDeleteToo fast! Take your time. Safety first.

I take life as it comes to me Aamir, been advising sweet Lord Booey too. She too never wanted to join the rat race.
ReplyDelete"You have to run twice as fast to stay in the same place " Thats original, made me smile.
Cheers
If we take our time, we are left behind Ufukhati. I am just hoping for the whole world to slow down, technological growth in particular.
