SIMPLE LIFE AND A HARASSED HUSBAND

This River Tern seems to be pretty mad with two of her chicks raising hell. She is angry stamping her foot. She is calling her husband.
Where have you gone you irresponsible idiot ?

Mama I am hungry Mama I am hungry
Wait Papa has gone to get you some food, wait wait. Whats taking him so long ? She's jumpy, must be sitting with his friends and drinking beer, let him come I'll kick his ass Where are youuuu ??
Mama I am hungreeeeee!!

Now both the chicks don't scream at a time, they create quite a racket, too loud for their size, one screams the other keeps quiet, when the first one gets tired the second one starts, making mommy Tern mad.

oweee this chap has an attitude, I don't like it.
Hey you chikee ! don't mess with me I know George Bush !
and the chick says I don't care if you know baby Bush or Papa Bush, po daa just get lost. I am hungry.

I didn't expect the wing to be so big for a chick No wonder he is not afraid of George Bush
Hiyeee papa papa papa !

Where have you been you lazy ass ?? These chick's been making my life miserable what took you so long ? have you been drinking ?

This is what we are supposed to do to survive, go find food for ourselves and for the kids. Is that very complicated ? We get trained for it, ten years at school, endless years at college, we have made it so complicated.
Blunt Knife.

Frank Sinatra ? I don't know of anything new Cari, Well I don't agree with him, something about horse and carriage, you can't have one without the other ? you can always remove the horse and ride off ! but the carriage can't move on its own. I have repeatedly said on my various blogs in the past that This planet is run and managed by the female species, a fact that religious people are too happy to ignore. This post is just for fun. Male painted stork plays house wife and incubates when the female wants to take a break tired of sitting on the eggs.

    Well put.

Thank you Hattigrace, If we have the will, we can simplify our lives, I don't suggest we go live in a forest, which is more complicated in the present situation, I mean we can make our lives less complicated. We demand too much out of our lives and relationships, very high expectations of others ultimately make us unhappy, our misery is largely our own making.

Hope you are doing great Hattigrace

    Rauf,
They are all our children and they need our love and guidance...and if done right, they will stand alone and strong. ok too much fantasy there, still, I know you understand :)

Yes Lorrain I understand, that's why we train them, less of fantasy here in India so far, but becoming more and more of fantasy as years go by as modernisation creepes in. Next generation would be more intelligent and less understanding than the present one.

    absolutely amazing birds!

wish i had your photgraphy skills, so i could take some real photos of those parrots!

you're right (as usual) in saying that what we are supposed to be doing in life is just as the birds do..

what happened? my guess is we got swallowed in our wants, and so they obtained equal status to our needs.

that and people like to complicate life these days (i don't claim to be innocent myself, either)

You've got the whole life ahead Laila. I don't have any skill, just a bit more of interest. You've taken pretty good pictures yourself in your recent blog. Right now please focus on your studies. You'll have lots of oppertunities to take pictures you like, compose poetry and do the things you love doing.

The storyboard and the shots of the River Tern and the brood are dutifully conceived and written. Oops... I meant beautifully....

Which month was this _ MId February _ The chicks must be ready to fly off now or is it to early. Maybe in another months time.

Terns have big wing spans in relation to their body size. While perching the wings will be in rear overlap behind the body.

IN continuation to your story or should I say, as a preamble to yours, I can send to you the shots of the River Tern hatching her eggs and guarding them.

Great shots !..I mean of the whole brood.....
