Happy Diwali to u too Rauf Uncle!

The 'rockets' started being launched in my flats last evening...
My favourites(when I was a kid) used to be anaar, kambi mathapu and vishnu chakras - the ones that emit those colourful sparks and don't make noise that threatens to tear my tympanum.

Ghar mein saare sweets thayyaar hain...my contribution - gaajar ka halva banaya aur thengaa burfi.
aapko pasand hai?

Looking forward to a great photo post on the diwali celebrations...don't forget the sweets!

Take care Rauf Uncle:)

No Diwali here in France of course. I wish I could see it in India one day, it must be so spectacular.

But they are starting to hang Christmas lights in the streets at the moment. Not very eco-friendly to have all those light bulbs on, but people like it because it brightens the cold winter nights...

Happy Diwali, rauf. Reading what Pingu wrote about fireworks helped me imagine you these days, out and about, so much excitement on the streets.

And Nathalie, India in Paris? Sounds like a heavenly combination.

rauf, I wish you all the light, enjoy your friends and the celebrations. Eat all the sweets you want, but don't get a tummy ache. Safe journey.

Very bright and shiny Divali to you, my dear Rauf. I hope you are spending this holiday with your loved ones, being spoiled and fed all your favorite treats :-)

When I lived in Mexico, I was accustomed to street festivals. I would walk to the jardin each day, wondering who was celebrating what. There was always something happening. I really miss that. You are so fortunate to live in a place where people celebrate life on a regular basis, even if there are kookie gurus involved.

I presume we'll see pictures soon:D
