HOPE

Life never stays gloomy for ever.
We can change things with a litle effort and change of attitude
There is always a hope of brighter tomorrow.

The world runs on hope.
A shift in priorities can force a change in the seasons of our life.
A new life begins with a few drops of rain.

Our attitude is rain,
It can wash away our problems.
Brown turns to green.
There's always a hope,
Hope for a better future.

rauf, you are 'master of the droplets'!

I'm always happier when it's raining & stormy. Don't know why. I prefer rain over sunny weather. Although on vacation & other times, it's not so good. I can't rollerblade in the rain-too slippery.

Love the waterdrop & sunset photos.

What beautiful thoughts behind your pics! And as always --stunning pics, although I have a personal fav and thats the pic from the train window. It represents two of my fav things in one frame--train journey's and the monsoon.Love it!You make me miss home(the endless train journeys) ...u make me miss the monsoons back home...watching the beauty and fury of "thulavarsham"(november rain I think),enjoying hot tea and rice cakes stuffed with jaggery and grated coconuts...scared shitless to venture out.lol!

That is before sunrise Patty, This part of the country (tamil Nadu) doesn't get much rain but last time it broke all the records. So i go to the neighbouring state of Kerala just to walk in the rain. Its lush green almost round the year.

e2d, randu chaya oru witthout, screams the man at the road side chaya kadai. but I am a kattan kaapee freak. Perhaps you have not experienced sitting in a small village chaya kadai having steaming hot pazham pori. Randu chaya oru withthout means one regular one without sugar. any way i have kattan kaapee with sugar. I don't like cold pazham pori. In perumbavoor I had pazham pori stuffed with coconut jaggery. I don't mind my oily fingers i wipe them on my jeans, I smell of pazham pori, Don't say eeeeks !
I was there in january and I am leaving tonight. mysore, coorg, spend some time in the forest and go to Kannoor, beautiful road from virajpet. spend a day in pyyannoor
then travel south, talicherry kozhikode, a day in kochi with my friend sathyaraj, shornur and coimbatore meet suresh and back.

And have I experienced kattan kaapi and pazampori from village chai kadai?!?!hmmm...what can I say other than sweet memories!!
As for wiping oil on yr jeans---I say absolutely charming!!lol!! Its all about being child-like and carefree---Did I get that right?
Anyway have a good trip and looking forward to some extraordinary photography.

You have prends in Sultan battery (batteri) or Kalpetta ? Me gots in Kalpetta, Vythri, I know where to get hot hot puttu 24 hours a day there.Been to thirneli temple too twice. What a location for the the temple ! Simbly beautiful. Dippedu my finger in papanishni, and washed away the sins my finger committed. (I'll wash rest of my sins in Haridwaar in june)Me going Coorg, Nagarhole' forest, walk thru the place I was born, sit on a rock and cry for sometime,Like I always do, Virajpet and Kannoor, But it goes thru different part of wynad, doesn't touch sultan batteri Kalpetta. Lovely road (bad condition) but beautiful journey.

Raindrops are so beautiful. But they make me sad, because they are like tears. Sad and beautiful, it's a striking combination, i guess that's what makes it so fascinating... lovely pictures, need I even say?

Rauf,
Your eyes are indeed very bad and your sight failing. You wasted such beatiful shots with useless
filters. Don't use them; they're meant for experimenters not professionals.

Are you still hoping for a better future? At your age you should be
sleeping and dreaming a lot. Or else try reminiscing or daydreaming. You have a good life, compared to all the street fortune-tellers combined.

I think experimenting is a good thing - keep it up Rauf.

Suresh, terrific site it is. I'll be a regular visitor from now on

rauf said...

Cari ! thank you, its not meant to be a poem, just a few thoughts about how we can change things and come out of our misery if we have the will. Sorry for the late response, I was away.

e2dees ! never heard of Kakkabe. Please tell me more about it. I did go to Wynad, Mananthavadi is just 20 KMs from Kutta Coorg, and the road is just like a dream (Kerala side) never realised its so close. Took a different route this time

rauf said...

Laila, sorry for late response. Rain drops, dew drops fascinate me.
Rain or water is hope, Its our survival, next to oxygen. Great civilisations flourished on the banks of great rivers like the Indus, Nile, Euphrates Tigris. You are always very poetic in your expressions Laila. Perhaps you know that Omar Khyyaam was an outstanding mathematician and astronomer of his time 11th century I think.

rauf said...

Cobra, You speak the truth. Yes my eyes are going bad. But it will never stop me from experimenting. You seem to know me very well. Coming up with new ideas give me a new lease of life, and I always keep trying and hoping for newer ideas.

Fortunato, please pardon my ignorance and my lack of english knowledge, what exactly is fortunato ?
I am born every day. I draw inspiration from ants too. I would hope for a better future till my last breath if I am conscious enough. Yes I sleep a lot and dream a lot. and i travel to cape horn without a passport. Sorry for late response, I was away PHYSICALLY.

rauf said...

Puts ! Just shut up, it will make a hole in my head.

Yea I always do Chinna, apart from the fun, it opens up the windows.
