rauf, am gonna wait for a while before i draw parallels to the evolution in life-forms ! fantastic post ! ... no mess !
عزلة ... rauf, is this readable ?
Suresh I can read Azlah actually it is Azlat T is silent in MOST of the places where the word ends with a T, The dot is to the side, if it comes on the first letter Aa becomes Gha both Aa and Ghaa comes from deep throat, not the Watergate deep throat.I don't know what the word means, there is an ocean of difference between classical and present Arabic. Faarsi (persian) and there is no such word in Urdu.
Rauf, How do you define "intellectual"?I really don't know what it means.
Why would you say that Rauf?
Anonymous,Are you George W Bush ?I can't define 'intellectual' My friends are ready to pounce on me.and I don't want to start a debate on the subject of how wrong my definition is.I don't believe that you don't know what it means. You see them everywhere. Every other person you bump in to is an intellectual.Let me explainHumans are considered intelligent. My cat is intelligent, the monkey who stole my biscuit packet is intelligent. (hoping you've read tmy blog 'monkey sense' Intellectuals are intelligent people who are as intelligent as you are, but they think they are different from others and have a vision of changing the shape of this world in to a perfect square. Please put your name at the end of the comment, thank you.
Anonymous, there are more intellectuals than normal people in this world, and they are spreading.
Lorraine, thank you so much.I can fill pages, but I'll try to be brief. The first intellectual was the guy who invented the wheel, Things started going horribly wrong from that day. People who caused all the bloodshed are intellectuals. All the wars, all the divisions of the world, division within divisions of same community of people, are intellectuals, because each one interpreted (intellectually) the book of rules to suit themselves. The people behind terrorism are intellectuals. Intellectuals are the people who want to spread their 'brand' of good in this world.
yeah, the irony is we now have to rediscover our animal nature to get better.
thanks rauf, i guess that word means 'solitude' in arabic.
I'll have a blog on that Chinna. What you say is a nail on the head. The picture of leaf is terrific, hit me on my facehttp://www.flickr.com/photos/pixelography/88451828/
Yea Suresh, the word also means isolation and confinement. In Urdu Solitude is 'Tanhaayee' beautiful word.Suresh check thishttp://www.flickr.com/photos/pixelography/88451828/
rauf, thats a terrific picture from chinna. hope its not an accident and he continues such composition. 'azla' sounds beautiful indeed. the same word in turkish sounds 'yalnızlık' and in finnish its 'yksinäisyys' ! these sounds facinate me !
Suresh why should that be an accident ? Its a well composed picture. there ends every thing. Perfect light and shadows brings out the texture even the dead leaves are alive.I refuse to see anything beyond that, and the decision to take that picture is more important than the picture itself. That is imagination.
rauf, am not at all questioning his ability/imagination/anything, sorry if it sounded like that ! its a fantistic picture, period. i just hope to see many more ... its always a joy to see pictures like that !
Rauf should we start at the inventor of the wheel or the discovry of fire ortools much before that.rins
I have been looking for sites like this for a long time. Thank you! Appetite zyrtec
